Your web account and knowledge

Your email is used to sign you in. Notes you save to the web library are stored with Supabase and are restricted to your account. Vercel hosts this website and its server-side requests. The web library does not yet sync with the Mac app.

Your conversations on Mac

The Mac app captures microphone and system audio for captions, and reads screen text when enabled. Speech recognition requires local processing by default; Apple network recognition is an optional setting. With AI enabled, relevant transcript excerpts, screen text and selected local knowledge are sent to the configured model service. Raw audio and screen images are not sent to that model service by the current app.

Credentials and storage

The Mac app stores your API key in macOS Keychain. The website does not ask for it. Your account uses sign-in cookies. We have not added advertising trackers or analytics SDKs; hosting providers may keep operational and security logs.

Removing information

You can archive and restore library items. Archiving is not permanent deletion. For account or permanent data deletion during this private beta, contact the person who invited you to test ideapop.

Use in conversations

Before capturing a conversation, make sure the people involved know how you are using ideapop and follow the rules of the meeting or interview.
